Police seek three suspects in Altantic Avnue incident

Three men robbed a lone male victim at knifepoint in Lynbrook on Tuesday, stealing his cell phone and fleeing on foot.

According to Fifth Squad detectives, the robbery occurred at 11 p.m. near 165 Atlantic Ave. when the 28-year old victim was approached by three suspects, one armed with a knife, who demanded the victim give them his property.

One of the suspects took the victim’s phone. All three suspects fled on foot northbound on Atlantic.

No injuries were reported. The first suspect was described as a male Hispanic, 18 to 22 years of age, 5’ 8” tall, with a medium build and medium complexion and a mole on his face. He was wearing dark clothing and was armed with the knife.

Suspect two was a male Hispanic, 18 to 22 years of age, 5’ 8” tall with a medium build. He was wearing dark clothing.

The third suspect was described as a male Black, 18 to 22 years of age, 5’ 8” tall with a medium build, and wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and red sweat pants.

The location is approximately one-half mile south of Sunrise Highway.
