The Village of East Rockaway hosted its annual Stars & Stripes festival last weekend, including a bright display of fireworks at the waterfront after a patriotic ceremony before twilight.

From Friday to Sunday, families flocked to the canal area for food, games, rides, face painting, a magic show, vendors’ wares, schools’ booths, D.J. Schrieber, live entertainment by tribute band Thunder Road and music by Alexa and Michelle. 5-Star gymnastics also appeared. There was also a photo booth.
