Two men charged in series of armed robberies

At 1:21 p.m. on Jan. 28, Jones and Molinaro entered The Barn at 114 Franklin Ave., Franklin Square. While displaying a firearm the men removed an unknown amount money from the register and a safe. A 37-year-old female store employee was present but not injured.

On Feb. 1 at 6:08 p.m., the two men entered Fortune Smoke Stax at 485 Hempstead Tpke., West Hempstead. They demanded money from a 31-year-old male store employee while armed with a handgun. The men fled on foot after obtaining an unknown amount money from two registers. No injuries were reported.

On Feb. 3, 2013 at 8:20 p.m., the pair entered the Valero Gas Station at 758 Franklin Ave., North Valley Stream, while displaying a firearm. They obtained an unknown amount of money from a 60-year-old store employee and fled in a Kia vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Molinari and Jones were arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday.
