Where in the world is the Herald?

For this family, it's Costa Rica

Posted

My daughter Allison’s Bat Mitzvah was on October 25. She had decided that, instead of having a party, she wanted to celebrate on a family vacation to Costa Rica. She wanted fun and adventure.
In addition to our immediate family, the extended family joined us too — Allison’s Aunt Roberta, Uncle Michael, cousins Jamie, Joshua and Samantha from the Albany area and her grandparents Laura and Ed from Lake Worth, Florida all came along.
We first visited the Arenal area, which is considered the rainforest. We went zip lining, Water repelling and horseback riding.  We then went to the Guanacaste Coast, which is on the pacific side of the country. We went on a catamaran, jet skiing, white water rafting — and Allison’s favorite activity was ATV riding to a waterfall.

We had a blast, and it was even more special that our family was there to celebrate Allison's Bat Mitzvah.
