The acclaimed band arrives on Long Island with “The Best Side of the Moon,” their tribute to Pink Floyd. TAPFS members — Steve Mac (guitar and vocals), Jason Sawford (keyboards), Dave Fowler (guitar and vocals), Paul Bonney (drums), Ricky Howard (bass and vocals), Chris Barnes (vocals), and Mike Kidson (saxophone) with the backing vocals of Lorelei McBroom, Lara Smiles and Emily Lynn — constantly strive to seek out new audiences and turn in jaw-dropping performances to reconnect people with the music that they love. Their current tour features a full performance of “The Dark Side of the Moon,” what many would call the most iconic rock album of all time. Their authentic take on the Pink Floyd experience includes a dynamic light and laser show, video animations, state-of-the-art high resolution LED screen technology and other special effects, including a giant inflatable pig and their distinctive Pink Kangaroo.

Beech Tree Concert Series
Relax in the glorious setting of Old Westbury Gardens listening to some stirring sounds, as part of the Gardens’ summer concert series. The Vermont-based husband and wife duo Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson, known as Hungrytown, are back to perform their acclaimed traditions-based folk tunes. After more than a decade of world-wide touring and three album releases, the pair — with Hall as the lyricist and playing rhythm guitar and Anderson on lead guitar, banjo, mandolin and drum — have earned a reputation for the quality and authenticity of their songwriting. Hungrytown’s songs and music have found their way on to numerous television programs, including IFC’s Portlandia, Comedy Central’s The Daily Show and Neftlix’s Lady Dynamite; even used in various documentaries and even major sporting events. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and settle in for a tuneful afternoon.
