Crime watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

A 52-year-old East Rockaway man was arrested on May 15 at 1:15 p.m. and charged with possession of burglar’s tools, petit larceny, criminal mischief and an open Long Beach warrant after stealing a bicycle from the Lynbrook Long Island Rail Road bicycle rack.

On May 16 at 1:32 a.m., a 41-year-old Freeport resident was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and failure to signal a turn on Atlantic Avenue.

A 42-year-old Hempstead man was arrested on May 16 at 9:35 a.m. and charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operator, fractured glass and an open Nassau County warrant on Scranton Avenue.

At 11:40 a.m. on May 16, a 22-year-old Hempstead man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of a weapon at 5 Freer Street.

On May 16 at 12:30 p.m., a 20-year old Uniondale man was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and unlawful possession of marijuana at 5 Freer Street.

Grand larceny

On May 15 at 10:20 a.m., the manager of Acura of Valley Stream, at 88 Sunrise Highway, reported that on Dec. 29, a man used a false identification to lease a black 2018 Acura TLX sedan. On March 15, another individual notified the Acura personnel that his name and identity had been falsely used to lease the vehicle. The total loss was more than $43,700.
