Crime watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

Arrests

A 56-year-old Uniondale man was arrested on Aug. 22 at 10:21 p.m. and charged with petit larceny for the theft of a bicycle that was located on Peninsula Boulevard.

A 27-year-old man from Hewlett was arrested on Aug. 23 at 8:40 p.m. after an investigation into the theft of a wallet at 639 Sunrise Highway, and was charged with three counts of grand larceny, petit larceny, attempted petit larceny and possession of a controlled substance (heroin).

A 30-year-old East Rockaway woman was arrested on Aug. 24 at 5:05 p.m. and charged with possession of a controlled substance (xanax) and criminal possession of a hypodermic needle on Atlantic Avenue.

A 33-year-old Lynbrook woman was arrested on Aug. 24 at 9:45 p.m. and charged with having two open warrants.

A 69-year-old from Houston, Texas was arrested on Aug. 25 at 11:53 p.m. and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to signal a turn on Peninsula Boulevard.

Identity theft

A complainant reports that on Aug. 23 at 5 p.m. a suspect used his personal information to open a credit card with Fingerhut and made several unauthorized online purchases.
