Bluesy summer sounds

Citigrass, the popular New York City-based band visits Planting Fields Aboretum, on Friday, Aug. 24, 7-9 p.m., for a lively evening of “urban bluegrass.” The dynamic musicians combine burning-hot, pedal-to-the-metal bluegrass with a blast of hard-jamming rock — creating a modern sound that attracts a wide audience. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket or even a picnic and enjoy some great tunes amidst the lush grounds. Info: (516) 922-8600 or www.plantingfields.org.
