‘Antiques Roadshow’ stops by
On April 29, from 1 to 4 p.m, Philip Weiss from “Antiques Roadshow” is dropping by the Phillips House Museum on Hempstead Avenue! Bring your antiques and collectibles to get appraised — except for jewelry and large pieces of furniture. Three appraisals cost $25, and will include a membership to the museum. Otherwise, appraisals are $10 per item.

Stirring sounds with Rockaway-Five Towns Symphony Orchestra
Maestro Louis Panaccuilli steps away from his duties at the helm of the Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra for a moment and turns his attention — and his baton — to the Rockaway-Five Towns Symphony Orchestra. The popular local orchestra’s spring concert, on Saturday, April 28, at 8 p.m., features Vivaldi’s Double Violin Concerto, Night on Bald Mountain and a piece by Benjamin Britten, among other selections.
