Armed robbery in Elmont

Nassau County police are investigating a robbery in Elmont on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 9:38 p.m.

According to detectives, two male subjects, armed with a handgun, entered 99 Cent Time at 811 Elmont Rd., approached the male clerk demanding money, and then hit him on the head with gun. The subjects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled the scene in an unknown direction. There were two additional employees and no customers present in the store at the time of the robbery.

The victim, who suffered a laceration to the head, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

Both subjects are described as black men. The first subject is approximately 30 years of age, 6’ tall, medium build and wearing a black hooded jacket. The second subject is approximately 20 years of age, 5’6” tall, medium build and wearing a blue hooded jacket.
