Assault investigation in Elmont

Nassau Police are investigating an assault that occurred early Christmas day morning at 4:30 a.m. in Elmont.

According to Fifth Precinct detectives, a male victim, 32, was in a verbal argument with four male black suspects outside Café Moments, located at 784 Elmont Road. During the argument one subject, a male black, possibly Jamaican,  5'9"- 5'10" tall, about 27 years of age, wearing a black bubble jacket and gray jeans, broke a bottle and slashed the victim's face and neck.

The subjects fled in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Subject 2 is described as possibly Jamaican, approximately 25 years of, 5'6" tall wearing dark clothing.  The other two subjects were wearing dark clothing; one was wearing a blue washed out color hat with a brim.
