Crime Watch 8/13

Car theft

 A man reported that unknown individual(s) entered his vehicle and took a “Leatherman” utility knife from it as the vehicle was parked in the owner’s driveway. The incident occurred between the evening of Aug. 3 and the late morning of Aug. 4 on Paschal Avenue in Franklin Square.

 A woman reported that unknown individual(s) entered her vehicle and stole $15 in change. The incident occurred between midnight and 3 a.m. on Cathedral Avenue in Franklin Square.

 A woman reported that unknown individual(s) entered the vehicle of her friend and took her purse while the vehicle was parked. The theft occurred on Aug. 5, around 9:30 a.m., at Elmont Road in Elmont.

A man reported the loss of his wallet and all of its contents. The man says he lost his wallet sometime between 7 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 1 p.m. on Aug. 3 on Doblin Street in Elmont.

 A woman reported unknown individual(s) removed her purse from her locker at the Synergy Gym. The theft occurred on Aug. 4 between 6 and 6:40 p.m. at the Synergy Gym on Hempstead Tpke. in Franklin Square.

Vandalism

 A woman reported that unknown individual(s) damaged the light pole in front of her home. The incident occurred on July 29 between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. the following day at Gavrin Blvd. in Franklin Square.

 A woman reported that unknown individual(s) smashed the rear winshield of her vehicle. The vandalism occurred between 11 a.m. July 30 and 1 p.m. Aug. 2 on Benmore Avenue in Franklin Square.

 A man reported that unknown individual(s) entered his vehicle and damaged the gearshift. The vandalism occurred around 5 a.m. on Aug 1 on Harriet Street in Elmont.

 A man reported that unknown individual(s) “keyed” his vehicle and broke both of the side view mirrors. The vandalism occurred on July 30 between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. at Harrison Street in Franklin Square.
