Cops: Elmont resident attacked in her home

The police are investigating a burglary that occurred on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 2:33 p.m. in Elmont.

According to detectives, two men entered a second floor apartment of a residence on Louis Avenue through the front door. The female victim, 40, was in the bedroom when both men entered the room. The first suspect lunged at the victim with a sharp item and struck her in the face causing a laceration. When the victim yelled, the suspects fled the apartment and were last seen on foot northbound on Louis Avenue.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The first suspect is described as Hispanic, male in his early 30’s, 5’6”, average build, brown hair, wearing dark pants, white t-shirt, white glove and armed with a sharp instrument.

The second suspect is described as Hispanic, male in his early 30’s, 5’6”, average build and was wearing a black t-shirt.
