The Elmont School District’s Safety Patrol was recognized April 9 for its commitment and thanked by the Board of Education, administration and teachers. Each student was awarded individually with a certificate and congratulated by their school principals and members of the Board of Education.

Nearly 170 students from the district’s six schools were honored for their participation in the integral program, which assists with the school intake and dismissal procedures of the younger students.

Superintendent of Schools Albert Harper thanked the children for all of their efforts.

“Congratulations to all the students in the Safety Patrol and thank you for your tireless dedication and work over the past school year,” Harper said.
