A “third place” Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold at the Tudor Buy Rite Wine & Liquors on Elmont Road, the New York Lottery said on Monday. This ticket is a fraction of the $487 million Powerball jackpot from the drawing on July 30th.

According to a New York Lottery spokesperson, New York claimed 13 “third place” Powerball tickets where four of the five numbers along with the Powerball were matches. Fourteen “second place” tickets worth $1 million each were sold outside of New York where all five numbers matched except the Powerball.

The fifth largest jackpot in lottery history was sold in New Hampshire. The lone winning ticket had all five winning numbers — 11, 17, 21, 23, and 32 with the number 5 as the Powerball.
