Town Supervisor Kate Murray receives an award of recognition from LICA.

On Feb. 8, Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray was presented with an award of recognition by Long Island Contractor’s Association, Inc. (LICA) Executive Director Marc Herbst. Murray’s distinction came at a local government breakfast meeting held at the Caryle on the Green in Farmingdale.

The meeting was arranged for government officials to discuss public works capital programs in light of the upcoming construction season. Also present at the meeting were chief executive officers, top public works officials and prominent town officials. They gave brief overviews about their visions for future improvements within their respective communities.

LICA represents the interests of about 150 of the region’s heavy construction general contractor, subcontractor, supplier firms and industry supporters.
