Police: Elmont man helped skim credit cards

Police on March 14 arrested three men — one of them from Elmont — and charged them as accomplices of a waitress accused of skimming customers’ credit card information.

According to police, Tressa Walker, 19, of Rosedale, was working as a waitress at Dave and Busters Restaurant on Old Country Road in Westbury was since March 1 using a skimming device to obtain the credit card information of customers. Police said that Walker, who was arrested on March 13, would then pass the information to Herve Denis, 23, of Norfolk Drive East in Elmont, Steven Jackson, 21, and John Beasley, 22, both of St. Albans.

Walker is charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a simmer device and was arraigned on March 25. Denis and Jackson are charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a skimmer device, and Jackson is also charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. Beasley is charged with four counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument. Denis, Jackson and Beasley were all arraigned on March 14.

All four individuals were arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead.
