Police: Elmont man sold alcohol to minor

According to police, Khalid Ousaf, 61, of Elmont, sold alcohol to a minor at the Around the Clock Grocery on Main Street, in Hempstead on Sept. 20. Ousaf was one of six individuals arrested that day as part of a “Project 21” initiative executed by the 5th Precinct. The initiative targets the illegal sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to minors within Nassau County.

In addition to Ousaf, Gabriel Espinal, 28, of Hempstead, Vivein Vivian, 24, of Massapequa, Nooh Noman Alkifi, 21, of Far Rockaway, Miguel Torres, 48, of Uniondale and Milton Mancia, 24, of Hempstead, were also arrested as part of the initiative.

They were all released on appearance tickets and ordered to appear at First District Court, in Hempstead, on Oct. 30.
