In the spirit of Harry Chapin, the show concludes with “Circle,” performed by the entire group. “That was Chapin’s traditional closing and so we want to honor that tradition,” Markus noted. “It’s a celebration about the continuity of life. And through this concert we are continuing what he started.”
The concert remains a summer ritual for Long Islanders. “Year after year it is one of the biggest drawing events at Eisenhower Park,” Markus proudly declared, with approximately 3,000 people attending each year. Guests should bring their own lawn chairs or picnic blankets to the park. The event is scheduled rain or shine.
