South Shore Symphony
Hear the South Shore Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of guest conductor David Bernard, when the orchestra performs at Molloy’s Madison Theatre. Soprano Tamra D’Ann Paselk, joins the orchestra as the featured soloist. The program features Antonin Dvorak’s VIII Symphony, selections from Georges Bizet’s Carmen Suite No. 1, and Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture. Paselk, an operatic soprano, has entertained audiences across the world as with her unique interpretations of both newly developed and classic characters.

‘Aqueduct Murals’
The grandstand walls at Aqueduct Racetrack will serve as canvasses for 11 contemporary urban artists who will transform the first floor of New York City’s only racetrack into a horse racing-themed street art show, “Aqueduct Murals,” opening this weekend. The artists — from as far away as South Africa and as near as Brooklyn — offer their unique visions of the “Sport of Kings.” “Part of the beauty of street art is its impermanence,” said artist Joe Iurato, also the show’s curator. “A piece might last an hour or a few years, but every artist accepts that it won’t last forever. An exhibition like this, where works of this scale are housed indoors, isn’t something you see happen very often. “
