Hewlett High School senior Rom Raviv, a member of National Council of Jewish Women-Peninsula Section’s Generation Next, wrote a letter to federal, state and local officials to have them proclaim Oct. 11 as Day of the Girl Child in connection with the United Nations’ international day. more
