Barry Schwartz, a leader who served his communities in New York and Florida Barry Schwartz captained the football teams as a senior quarterback at Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn, was the longtime Parks Commission chairman for the Village of Lawrence and served two residential communities, Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, Fla., and the Bristol Plaza in Manhattan. The longtime Lawrence resident died on Feb. 22 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital in Manhattan. He was 74. more
