We start to celebrate Hanukkah this Sunday night. Hanukkah is a unique holiday. We often say, “what is the definition of a Jewish holiday? ur enemies wanted to kill us, God saved us, let’s eat!”

Lighting the Hanukkah menorah

Potato latkes, dreidels and gelt (the chocolate coins given to children) were handed out by the Chabad of Hewlett as the Jewish organization took part in the Hewlett-Woodmere Business Association menorah lighting at the Triangle by Broadway and West Broadway last Sunday, the first night of Hanukkah.
