The Nassau County Bridge Authority is imposing traffic restrictions on Aug. 20 and 21 for needed repairs to the bascule leafs of the Atlantic Beach Bridge.

Atlantic Beach Bridge to undergo repairs

The Nassau County Bridge Authority that oversees the Atlantic Beach Bridge announced that traffic restrictions will be in effect on Tuesday, Aug. 20 and Wednesday, Aug. 21 between midnight and 5 a.m. to repair the bridge’s bascule leafs — the sections that rise when the bridge opens for boat traffic. more
