Beginning the holiday season in colonial style
Rock Hall Museum holds festive celebration
Monica Rzewski/Herald
Colonial-style Christmas music was performed by Linda Russel and Christa Patin, at left, with assistance from sisters, Laura, 6, and Lillie, 4, Lederer.

Rock Hall Museum, located on the grounds of what was Rock Hall plantation in Lawrence kicked off the holiday season in style with a festive evening of food, music and decorations in the style of 18th century America on Dec. 2.

The two-hour event had museum staff and volunteers in 1700s dress. They engaged children to play and adults to sing along with the seasonal holiday music of colonial times.
