A 4th Precinct police officer saw a gray Chrysler stop abruptly when exiting the Dunkin’ Donuts on Burnside Avenue in Lawrence at 1:45 p.m. last Sunday. A woman passenger, 38, then got out of the car along with a young girl who was sitting in the back seat.

The officer investigated and found that the driver, Terence M. Murdock, 40, of Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn, appeared to be intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated (Leandra’s Law) and two counts of driving while intoxicated. Leandra’s Law makes it a felony to drive drunk with a person 15 or younger in the vehicle.
