The Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department responded to a pair of vehicle accidents on consecutive days.
A car drove through the store window of New Century Cleaners in the Maple Avenue parking lot in Cedarhurst on March 26 at 3:57 p.m., according to Chief John McHugh. There were no injuries and the fire department secured the broken plate glass windows, McHugh said.
On March 25 at 7:53 a.m., a car heading west on Broadway just west of Washington in Lawrence, struck another vehicle and knocked it into a utility pole. “The first auto rolled completely,” McHugh said. “There were two minor injuries. One transported by the LCFD and one by Hatzolah (to local hospitals).”
