Cedarhurst gas station robbed at gunpoint

A man with a black handgun allegedly got away with an undisclosed amount of money from the Sunoco gasoline station at 360 Rockaway Tpke. in Cedarhurst on Oct. 6 at 8:50 p.m., police said.

He left the station’s mini market and was last seen heading north on Rockaway Turnpike towards Rugby Road. The store clerk was unharmed. The man is described as white about 30, 5-feet, 10-inches; 170 to 180 pounds, and he wore a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, blue latex gloves and a black neoprene mask that covered the lower portion of his face.
