Six games involving six different age groups and 200 children, along with coaches, family and friends made up the annual Inwood Buccaneer Athletic Club Buccaneer Day at Lawrence High School on Sept. 8. The age groups included 6/7-, 8-, 9-, 10-, 11/12- and 13-year-olds.

According to Frank DeCicco Jr., the club’s football director, the Inwood Buccaneers have been playing youth football since 1956 and have taught thousands of children the game’s proper fundamentals, sportsmanship and citizenship.

“This annual Buccaneer Day gives us a chance to display all of our teams at home for the community to enjoy,” DeCicco said.
