If you’d like a personalized workout but don’t relish the gym scene, and if time is a valuable commodity in your life, then Koko FitClub might be the place for you. This innovative, digital gym could well be Long Beach’s best kept secret.

Koko FitClub of Long Beach is locally owned and operated by husband and wife team, Kim Takal and Pamela Ehrlich. As former members themselves, which led them to become passionate about the Koko FitClub concept, they can see things through eyes of their own clientele. The gym is intimate and friendly, and it’s always kept fresh and immaculate.

“We try to know all our members by name. People make friends here,” said Ehrlich. “It’s a lovely business, and we are always looking for ways to enhance our members’ experience.”

The technology of the Koko Smartraining System™ is compared to having a world-class personal trainer coaching you each time you do your 30-minute full body strength workout on a universal strength machine, or 15 minute HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) cardio session on a treadmill or elliptical machine. The FitClub has six Smartrainers, three treadmills, and two elliptical machines. There is rarely a wait for any machine since each session is programmed to last only 15 to 30 minutes.

Whether you’d like to lose weight, tone up, build muscles, condition for a sport, increase flexibility, or all of the above, your goals will initially be defined. A personal assessment of your current fitness level will be completed by a Koko FitCoach. Koko even offers progressive training programs designed for people with chronic health conditions, such as arthritis, back pain, diabetes, breast cancer, etc.
