At 1 a.m. on Sept. 25, an unidentified young woman struck a utility pole at the intersection of Kilmer and Park lanes in North Woodmere, which led to 94 customers being without power, said PSEG Long island spokeswoman Elizabeth Flagler.
“A temporary pole was put up and power was restored by 4:30 a.m., Flagler said.
Later in the morning, a UPS delivery truck the wires that were hanging too low, according to one resident. That resulted in a power outage that affected 894 customers. Flagler said. Power was restored to all those customers by 2:35 p.m., she said, and a crew had repaired both poles.
Nassau County police had no information on the young women, who a resident said was arrested by the police that responded to the scene.
