Far Rockaway man violates Leandra’s Law

Charged with driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of four young boys in Inwood

During a traffic stop at 3:30 a.m. Monday on Burnside Avenue in Inwood, Fourth Precinct police officers determined that Miguel A. Quezada, 28, of Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway had been driving a 2005 Toyota Sienna while intoxicated.

Quezada, along with his passenger a 26-year-old woman, had four boys in the vehicle: a two-week-old, and one 2, 3 and 8, police said. The woman and children were taken home by the police. No one was injured.

He was charged with four counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 (Leandra’s Law); four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated and three traffic violations.
