More than 400 people attended the inaugural South Shore gala, where Rosen received the Sidney Perlman Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his decades-long leadership role in the Jewish community. Rosen has been involved with the UJA-Federation for 50 years. He has served as chairman of the South Shore Executive Committee and on the organization’s Board of Directors.

The Israel’s were honored for their active commitment to the Five Towns. Lee serves as mayor of the Village of Woodsburgh. Raquel has been mitzvah chair of UJA-Federation’s Connie Gilmore South Shore Tournament.

UJA-Federation’s South Shore division works in partnership with UJA-Federation of New York to assist the Jewish community in the metropolitan area and responds to crises here, in Israel and globally.
