Arrests

LAWRENCE - Naeem A. Bryan, 32, of Mt. Vernon, was arrested for shoplifting from a clothing store on Rockaway Turnpike at 12:50 p.m. on Sept. 20, according to police.

HEWLETT- Annmarie Giordano, 51, of Baldwin, was arrested for shoplifting from a clothing store on Broadway at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 22, police said.

LAWRENCE - Shakeem S. Baker, 20, of Far Rockaway was arrested for shoplifting from a clothing store on Rockaway Turnpike at 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 22, authorities said.

Robbery

INWOOD - Two young men were allegedly robbed at gunpoint of their cell phones and an unknown amount of money by a man on Wanser Avenue at 10:18 p.m. on Sept. 26, police said.

The two men, 20 and 15, were walking on Wanser Avenue when they were approached from behind by a man who displayed a handgun and demanded their property, according to police.

After the two handed over their cell phones and money, the alleged thief fled west on Wanser Avenue. No one was hurt, police said.

The man is described as black, approximately 20-years-old, 6-foot-1, wearing a blue denim jacket and a red baseball hat.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-8477. All calls are kept confidential.

Auto larceny

ATLANTIC BEACH - Between 8 p.m. on Sept. 20 and 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 21, a GPS and $5 was taken from a vehicle parked on Queens Avenue, officials said.

Criminal mischief

INWOOD – A window of an apartment on Bayview Avenue was damaged by a thrown plastic pipe at 9:55 p.m. on Sept. 23, according to police.
