HEWLETT-On Feb. 28 at 9:20 p.m. near Broadway and Prospect Avenue, Hubert D. Vargas, 26, of Lynbrook, was arrested for possessing marijuana, authorities said.

Grand larceny

LAWRENCE-At 7:20 p.m. on Feb. 28 at a clothing store on Rockaway Turnpike, a woman’s pocketbook was stolen from the changing room, officials said.

Larceny from auto

LAWRENCE-Between March 3 at 9 p.m. and March 4 at 8 a.m. on Central Avenue,

$30 in rolled quarters was stolen from a vehicle, according to police.

Criminal mischief to auto

WOODMERE-Between 10 p.m. on March 2 and 8 a.m. on March 3 on Barnard Avenue, a fog light cover was stolen from a vehicle and the vehicle was dented in the process, police said.
