Attempted theft in Woodmere

Police are investigating an attempted theft of property from a vehicle on Burton Avenue in Woodmere on Oct. 30 at 2:45 a.m.
Based on surveillance video, a man described as white and in his 40s is seen opening the driver’s side door of the unlocked vehicle in the driveway and rummaging through the center console. No items were taken.
A reminder from the police: vehicles should be locked at all times.

Arrests
HEWLETT HARBOR-Darden Pulatania, 17, was arrested on Nov. 13 by 4th Precinct police and charged with harassment and criminal mischief for several “egging” incidents that occurred between the beginning of October and Nov. 1, police said. Pulatania allegedly struck the same car, a BMW, twice and caused $800 in damage. A Mercedes Benz was also struck during that time.

Larceny from auto
HEWLETT-On Wilmot Drive between 9 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 7:20 a.m. on Nov. 5, an unspecified amount of money was stolen from a woman’s car, authorities said.
