More than $18,000 in scholarships were presented to graduating seniors from Hewlett, Lawrence and Lynbrook high schools at the Five Towns Kiwanis Scholarship Night at McQuade’s in Lynbrook last Thursday.
Hewlett High students Ashley Ruta (community service), Evelyn Gitsin (South Shore Foundation) and Gianni Preziosi (Giacomo Campanile Scholarship) received monetary awards.
Lawrence High students Taylor Luck and Tamara Gonzalez (Key Club), Harris Feldman and Marcel Frederic (Principal’s Award), Serge Byakov (Serge Sarro Ward), Jadzia Way (Elaine Essex Award), Arthur Chen (community service), Stefany Diaz (Giacomo Campanile Award), Gabrielle Levey (Joseph Mandelbaum Award) and Nick Ramirez (Zimmy Nathanson Award) also received scholarships.
