Five Towns fire commissioner results

Pandolfo wins in Inwood; Etrog takes Atlantic Beach

Fire District commissioners elections were held throughout the Five Towns on Dec. 9. There were two contested races.

Incumbent Inwood Commissioner Thomas Pandolfo defeated challenger Thomas Lynch 118 to 72.

Challenger Nat Etrog won overwhelmingly over Julian Goldstein, who was seeking a fifth term in the Atlantic Beach Fire District.

In uncontested elections, Daniel Weisner, a past commissioner, was elected in the Hewlett Bay Fire District; Mitchell Froelich in Woodmere and incumbent Steve McFadden in Meadowmere.

All commissioner terms are five years. The term begins on Jan. 1.

On Dec. 2, the Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department held its elections: Anthony Rivelli Jr. will be the new chief, David Campbell the new 1st Assistant Chief and Michael Beilinson the 2nd Asst. Chief. All will take their new posts on Jan. 1
