The Mazzitelli family, of Atlantic Beach, were honored at the inaugural Lawrence School District Music Parent Organization fundraiser dinner at the Imperial Room in Inwood on Feb. 21.
Dinner, dessert and a JetBlue raffle drawing were also part of the event that raised money for the district’s biennial Disney trip. Every two years student musicians perform at Disney World. This year the trip is March 14-17.
Student music ensembles also performed at the dinner. The Mazzitelli family was recognized for their efforts in helping the district advance its performing arts programs.
