The Peninsula Kiwanis Club held its annual golf outing at the Lawrence Yacht & Country Club on Aug. 24, to help raise money for the group’s donations to SIBSPlace and Camp Anchor.

SIBSPlace a free therapeutic program based in Hewlett that provides therapeutic services and activities to children ages 5-17 who are living with a sibling with cancer or another devastating illness, or a parent with cancer. Camp Anchor is a year-round recreational program for children and adults with special needs.

Golfers were provided with a continental breakfast, use of the driving range, contests, prizes, lunch and refreshments, and an awards dinner.

“We will always step up to the plate when someone’s in need,” said Harry Levitt, president of Peninsula Kiwanis. “Every penny we raise goes right back into the community.”
