Fair Macy Estate hosts Hewlett’s pre-prom party

Hewlett High school’s class of 2012 danced the night away at the prom at the Lawrence Yacht and Country Club.

The Ellman’s, Dari and Allan, the parents of Trevor Ellman, hosted Hewlett High School’s class of 2012 pre-prom party at the family’s home on Veeder Drive in Hewlett Bay Park.
More than 1,000 people attended the event which is on the water by Macy Channel. The home is the original Macy Estate, owners of Macy’s department store.
It is the fifth time in the past 10 years the Ellman’s have hosted the pre-prom party. Trevor was a three-sport athlete at Hewlett playing soccer, football as the kicker and golf.
Following the two and a half hour pre-prom, the students were taken by bus to the Lawrence Yacht and Country Club for the prom.
