Money stolen at gunpoint from Hewlett convenience store

A man described as white, wearing a helmet with a mask, sunglasses and black and yellow gloves allegedly stole an unspecified amount of money at gunpoint from The Barn drive-thru convenience store at 1577 Broadway in Hewlett at 9:40 p.m. on Nov. 2, according to police.

The man entered the store, lifted his sweatshirt and showed the handgun to the woman employee, police said. After taking the money from the cash register, he fled on a black and white-colored motorcycle on Peninsula Boulevard and headed south. No injuries were reported.
