Five Towns Community Chest held its annual Youth Board Basketball Tournament at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway’s new gym last Sunday. Vincent Riddock attempted to block Ray Serrano’s shot in an adult division game.

The annual Five Towns Community Chest Youth Board Basketball Tournament was held at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns new gymnasium in Lawrence on March 17.
A total of 130 players competed in three-on-three basketball games, including a dozen adult and 22 youth teams. There were 50 volunteers, 75 sponsors and a few hundred spectators.
The tournament is dedicated to the memory of Adam Barsel, a Hewlett High School student who was killed in a car accident in 2000. The event raised more than $20,000 for the scholarship that was named in his memory.
