Powering a friendship through music

Bayen added the school district aims to provide students with music education as it teaches them to work together and appreciate different types of music and cultures. “We’re not here to make musicians, but if that becomes the case, that’s just icing on the cake,” he said.

None the girls think they will major in music at college, but all said they would keep it apart of their lives and hope they choose a school that has a chorus in order to enhance their college experience. Antoine said she hopes to attend a college in Chicago so she can sing at a jazz lounge in her spare time. Suleymanov and Pei both think they will pursue careers in medicine. Generoso has yet to make a career choice, but looks to keep singing during her college years. “I want to keep music in my life as my source of
