Light Drizzle Running a mile to help Kulanu

North Woodmere Park played host to Kulanu’s running events that included a Fun Run for the kids.

Cedarhurst-based Kulanu Academy held its inaugural Kulanu Mile event at North Woodmere Park on Sept. 21. It consisted of a USA Tack & Field 1-mile judged race walk, a non-competitive run/walk and a Fun Run for children.
Shawn Anderson won the mile race, overcoming a wet start to the day. Proceeds will benefit the academy, a middle/senior high school for students with special needs.
