Students, parents and friends took part in a day of remembrance for Sammy Stein on May 3. A SULAM-LI student, Stein died last spring.
First the group planted flowers around the tree that was dedicated to Stein at Congregation Sons of Israel in Woodmere. Then they ate pizza, listened to music and the children had structured play at Great Play, also in Woodmere. SULAM-LI plans on holding this memorial celebration annually.
