Suspects sought for Hewlett identity theft

Bank reported $6,178.25 in fraudulent withdrawals and charges

Up to four men are wanted in connection with an alleged identity theft that happened in Hewlett, according to police.
On Dec. 19 around 9 p.m., a man discovered that his Citibank debit card was missing. Subsequently, he was informed that his account was closed due to $6,178.25 in fraudulent withdrawals and charges. The unauthorized transactions occurred at the Citibank ATM at 1388 Penn Ave. in Brooklyn.
Nassau County Crime Stoppers and police are asking anyone who can identify the men above to call 1- (800) 244-8477. All calls are kept confidential. There is a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
