Three men sought for attempted robbery in Inwood

Three men made off with a man’s Beats headphones after he was approached by the trio in what police are calling an attempted robbery on Madison Avenue in Inwood at 6 a.m. on Aug. 28.
Police said the man, 26, was walking south on Madison Avenue when the three men approached him. The man ran north on Madison Avenue and dropped his headphones, which the men picked up, according to police. The men fled in a black four-door sedan. No injuries were reported.
One man is described as 17, 5-feeet, 5-inches, with a slim build who was wearing a black sweater and blue jeans, and he was the one, police said, who initiated the alleged robbery. Another man is described as 19, 5-feet, 6-inches, wearing a black sweater and blue jeans. Another is described as 23, 5-feet, 8-inches with a slim build. All three men are black, police said.
