Nassau County police and Crime Stoppers are asking the public to identity the two men and a woman they are looking for in connection with an alleged identity theft that occurred in Inwood.
According to police, $5,500 was withdrawn from the victim’s Chase Bank account between Oct. 2 and 4 of last year. The person or persons who performed the alleged fraudulent withdrawal, then transferred the money to the victim’s checking account, and checks totaling that same amount were then written and cashed by the men and woman in the photographs, police said. Then they cashed some of the checks at Chase banks on Fordham Road and Jerome Avenue in the Bronx, police said.
Anyone who can identify the people in the photos or anyone who has information about this incident can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-8477. All calls are kept confidential. There is a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
