Vehicle crashes into Inwood building
Joseph Sperber/Herald
Two women were injured and an Inwood building was damaged after a SUV crashed into the structure at 265 Sheridan Blvd.

Two women who were in a sport utility vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries after the vehicle crashed into a building at 265 Blvd. in Inwood on Oct. 6 at 6:30 p.m., officials on the scene said.

Apparently, the driver of the BMW lost control of the vehicle and hit the corner area of the building and caused “heavy structural damage,” according to Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department Chief Joseph Sperber. “The Town of Hempstead’s Building Department were notified to check the integrity of the structure due to the extensive damage,” Sperber said.

The women were taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside.

Inwood Fire Department and Nassau County police responded to the incident.

National Pawn Broker was open for business.
